We are hiring farm team members! 

We are seeking 3 hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in organic vegetable production to join us for the 2021 growing season. All positions will include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Transplanting vegetable seedlings
  • Trellising and pruning tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse
  • Hoeing and hand weeding
  • Hand harvesting vegetables
  • Washing and packaging vegetables
  • Preparing for market, packing orders
  • Some market sales and deliveries

The 3 positions available are full time (40 hours/week) and are as follows:

Wash station manager: early April-December

  • Manage the washing, sorting and storage of vegetables
  • Manage packing of CSA boxes and restaurant orders
  • Participate in the various other farm tasks outlined above
  • Compensation $16/hr + veggie share

Farmers Market Manager: mid May – November

  • Attend weekly Friday and Saturday farmers markets in local communities
  • Create beautiful and functional market displays
  • Engage with market customers
  • Inventory produce at close of market
  • Participate in the various other farm tasks outlined above
  • Compensation $16/hr + veggie share

Farm laborer: mid May-October

  • Tasks outlined above
  • Compensation 15.00/hr + veggie share

Our small-scale organic farm offers a fun, active, outdoor job opportunity for the right hard-working, motivated, enthusiastic, individuals.

Applicants for all positions should be physically fit (able to lift 40lbs as well as squat, kneel etc), be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and have some sort of previous experience with outdoor physical labour. Previous farm experience is very highly preferred, however, if you are extremely keen and feel you are a good fit without experience, please apply.

Successful applicants must:

  • Have dependable transportation to get to work on time (8:00 AM).
  • Be able to commit to staying for the duration of their position
  • Be able to lift up to 40 lbs, be physically fit and work in a variety of walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
  • Have strong attention to detail and be able to complete repetitive tasks.
  • Provide their own comfortable gear to work in, and be willing to work in all weather conditions.
  • Work well as a team member and independently. 
  • A full G driver’s license is also preferred.
